About
Agona Shporta is a vocalist and arranger based in Prizren, Kosovo. She develops arrangements that reimagine existing material, exploring new perspectives on familiar songs through composition and ensemble interplay.
Her debut album Hape Portën (2024) presents rearrangements of traditional Albanian folk songs, reinterpreted through contemporary arrangement. Recorded in Prishtina and Mostar, the project has been presented internationally in performances with guitarist Tringa Sadiku, pianist Ilir Bajri, bassist Enver Muhamedi, and drummer Enes Beu.
Alongside performance, Agona has worked in artistic research, curation, and cultural projects. She contributed to regional exchange initiatives such as OneBeat Balkans and music programming at Lumbardhi Foundation. Her research with Cultural Heritage without Borders explored social histories of Prizren and informed artistic and community-focused projects.
She completed her studies in vocal performance at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music (2018) and her Master’s in Creative Production at Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Technology (2025).
